Looking for an affordable holiday package, “Solomon Holidays” guarantees an enjoyable treat with less hustle.

Solomon Holidays is an initiative established by Solomon Airlines and Solomon Islands Visitors Bureau [SIVB] in partnership with tourism operators in six provinces.

The special holiday package has been launched last week and is now available for bookings.

SICCI Board Member, Mr. Gorden Denty congratulates Solomon Airlines and Solomon Islands Visitors Bureau for launching the initiative.

“On behalf of the Chairlady, SICCI Secretariate and members, we congratulate Solomon Airlines and Visitors Bureau.

“Solomon Airlines is one of SICCI’s member and we honor the collaboration and partnership we share,” he said.

SIVB Sales and Marketing Officer, Fiona Teama said, Solomon Holiday is a rebranding of previously known as Umi Holiday – a holiday package initiated during COVID 19 to help Solomon Airlines as well as tourism operators stay afloat.

She said Solomon Airlines will manage the air packages while SIVB will manage non air packages this includes; ships and small boats.

Ms. Teama adds that part of the initiative is to encourage tourism operator to raise their standards.

Mr. John Wopereis, Manager Commercial of Airlines said, Solomon Holidays covers six provinces with 23 properties.

He said tourism operators who part of the Holiday package is licensed and are all registered under the Tourism Solomons. 

Mr. Wopereis said Solomon Airlines role is to promote and market the packages and SIVB provide information on the land-based packages

“What is the benefit for customers, we offer you one stop-shop to do arrangements for your holiday,” he said.

Mr. Wopereis encourages business houses and employees both in public and private sector to support the initiative.
