Express Freight and Guadalcanal Plains Palm Oil Limited [GPPOL] have donated 60 cartons of water to Royal Solomon Islands Police Force.

The donation [Express Freight donated 40 cartons and GPPOL donated 20 cartons] will go towards Police operations during the National General Election.

Superintendent John Matamaru and his officers received the cartons of water during a brief handing over at Hyundai Mall today 16th April.

Express Freight Representative, Ms. Reachel Mercado says her company is happy to support the police with their operation.

“We [Businesses] want to let the police know that we are behind the police in their quest for a peaceful election.

“Additionally, this is a very important event for Solomon Islands and we want to render support where we can,” she said.

Ms. Mercado highly recommends voters to vote wisely and in a manner that encourages best outcome for Solomon Islands.

GPPOL representative share sentiment saying that the donation is part of the company’s support towards RSIPF.

Mr. Matamaru acknowledges GPPOL and Express Freight for their support saying that the cartons of water will help police to stay hydrate during the national general election.

He adds that water is a very important element in human as such the donation is highly appreciated.

Mr. Matamaru reiterates that National General Election is an important calendar event and the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force make all efforts to ensure peaceful, safe and clean election.

On Behalf of the SICCI Board and Secretariate, the effort put forth by its members is acknowledged and appreciated. This shows the business resilience in challenging times to always come through to show support towards the appeal rendered by SICCI in support to RSIPF.

This further emphasis the importance of SICCI and RSIPF partnership through its MoU, that is long standing from 2018 to date in ensuring businesses to be well informed in terms of security.

In the meantime, call to support police is still ongoing as the election processes will continue after the polling day up to the day when a government will be identified.
