Premier Bilateral Business Event Set for 19–20 August, with Golf Program on 21 August

HONIARA, Solomon Islands – The Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) and the Papua New Guinea–Solomon Islands Business Council (PNGSIBC) are pleased to announce the hosting of a landmark Investment Conference in Honiara on 19–20 August 2026, under the theme:

“From Opportunity to Investment: Building the PNG–Solomon Islands Growth Corridor.”

The two-day conference will take place at the Heritage Park Hotel, Honiara, and represents a significant step forward in strengthening bilateral economic ties between the two Melanesian neighbours.

The event will bring together government representatives, private sector leaders, investors, and key stakeholders from both countries to explore tangible pathways for cross-border trade, investment, and economic collaboration.

The program will focus on high-growth sectors including infrastructure, telecommunications, banking, agriculture, fisheries, tourism, mining, and services, with dedicated sessions designed to address trade barriers, investment pipelines, labour mobility, and knowledge sharing.

The conference builds on the formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between PNGSIBC and SICCI in October 2025, which established a framework for deepening public-private partnerships and regional economic cooperation.

SICCI and PNGSIBC invite all interested parties to mark their calendars and participate in this historic event, which promises to unlock new opportunities and drive sustainable economic growth across the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea.
