The Papua New Guinea Solomon Islands Business Council (PNGSIBC) and the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) will host the inaugural Papua New Guinea Solomon Islands Investment Conference at Heritage Park Hotel, Honiara, on 19 and 20 August 2026.

The conference will bring together government leaders, investors, business executives, development partners, and industry representatives to advance trade, investment, and commercial partnerships. Discussions will explore bilateral trade growth, investment promotion, infrastructure development, employment creation, stronger local industries, and the estimated K1 billion, approximately SBD 1.8 billion, already invested by Papua New Guinea businesses in Solomon Islands.

About Venue

Heritage Park Hotel is Honiara’s four-star waterfront hotel on Mendana Avenue, overlooking Iron Bottom Sound and set within tropical gardens. The venue is about 30 minutes from Honiara International Airport.

Forum sessions will use the hotel’s conference facilities, which include four halls, flexible seating configurations, AV and video conferencing support, and an events team for delegate arrivals and networking.

Program Preview

Day 1: Strategic Dialogue

The first day sets the strategic direction for the conference, focusing on the investment case for Solomon Islands, the government support framework, priority commercial opportunities, private sector partnerships, financing pathways, and structured investor engagement.

Day 2: Investment Dialogue

The second day shifts to practical investment dialogue, drawing on PNG business experience in Solomon Islands and highlighting areas where companies, investors, women-led enterprises, and youth entrepreneurs can build new commercial partnerships.

Cancellation policy: cancellations must be in writing. 50% refundable if cancelled 12 days before the Business Forum date.
