Monday 21st August, Honiara - Be the lucky 24 participants for the senior executive women in leadership training scheduled to take place on 19th to 28th September.
Registration will close on 25th August and the organizers highly recommends early registration.
The Solomon Islands Senior Executive Women in Leadership Program is designed for women in executive and senior management roles who want to deepen their knowledge of business operations, develop strong networks with other senior women, build confidence in areas including governance and refresh their professional brand.
Course content includes identifying and building potential external and internal support networks; conceptualizing and managing risk; understanding financial reports and accounts; and developing a career personal action plan.
The program will be delivered by the Institute of Solomon Islands Accountants (ISIA), Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) and Solomon Islands Women In Business Association (SIWIBA).
This is the second training following successful hosting of similar training earlier in July where 24 women walked away not only with certificates but also a better and deeper understanding of how they can effectively contribute in decision-making in higher positions where they serve.
ISIA Chief Executive Officer Pamela Alamu said, the piloting of the first cohort was noted to be successful.
“We received very positive feedback from participants who attended this. From this feedback, we were also able to update some areas of the training materials to ensure that it remains relevant to the SI context and to our targeted participants” she said.
On behalf of SICCI Secretariat we would like to acknowledge the working partnership with SIWIBA and ISIA to collaborate in initiating the much-needed training for enhancing women’s competencies in the Solomon Islands, particularly for those who are in executive leadership roles or working towards an executive role in all sectors of business.
We hope through this training we can contribute positively to lifting the current profile of Solomon Islands Women in Executive Leadership roles.
