The Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Papua New Guinea Business Council to promote trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.
The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation between the private sectors of Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea, focusing on trade facilitation, investment promotion, and business networking.
“This MoU represents a significant step forward in strengthening economic ties between our two nations,” said Ben Bilua, CEO of SICCI. “By working together, our businesses can access new markets, share knowledge, and create opportunities that benefit both economies.”
The partnership will facilitate joint business missions, trade exhibitions, and information exchanges between members of both organisations. It is also expected to support efforts to reduce trade barriers and improve the regulatory environment for cross-border business activities.
SICCI encourages members interested in exploring PNG market opportunities to contact the Secretariat for more information.
