SICCI Backs National Campaign for Better Electricity

SICCI supports the national push for improved electricity supply as a critical enabler of business growth and economic development in Solomon Islands.

The Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) is supporting the national push for improved electricity supply as a critical driver of business growth and economic development.

Reliable and affordable power is consistently cited by SICCI members as one of the top barriers to doing business in Solomon Islands. Without consistent electricity, businesses face higher operational costs, reduced productivity, and limited ability to compete regionally.

“Access to reliable electricity is not a luxury — it is a necessity for economic development. Every business, from the smallest shop in Honiara to the largest exporter, depends on a stable power supply,” said Ben Bilua, CEO of SICCI.

SICCI is committed to working with government, development partners, and the energy sector to find sustainable solutions that expand access and reduce costs for businesses across Solomon Islands.
